ABOUT US

Fayette County Clerk: A Legacy of Service

The Fayette County Clerk’s Office is a state constitutional office with duties governed by the Kentucky Revised Statutes. The Clerk is responsible for the recording and administration of official documents, preparation of property tax bills, registration of voters and conduct of elections, and registration and titling of motor vehicles.

Fayette County is one of three original counties formed in 1780, and our land records date back to before Kentucky’s statehood in 1792. Under the leadership of Susan Lamb, the office remains dedicated to serving the community with integrity while honoring our historical legacy.
