The Clerk is responsible for the recording and administration of official documents, preparation of property tax bills, registration of voters and conduct of elections, and registration and titling of motor vehicles.

Testimonials
Trusted by the Community
Even on hot and steamy days, the team at Fayette County shines! I had a question, and I dreaded calling into the office, unsure of how to handle my situation. But when I spoke to a team member she was easy to talk to and made the whole experience so much more enjoyable.
I wanted to give a shout-out to a team member of Fayette County for being both professional and kind while completing a notary commission. She also went above and beyond by assisting with some land records research. Truly outstanding service!
I’m moving into Kentucky, and I had a little confusion with one of the forms. I called the office, and a team member helped me out. Don’t let that team member get away! She was so helpful, and I wanted to make sure her exceptional service was acknowledged!
My wife and I visited the Transfers Department for the second time. The first time we were helped by a team member, and we were so pleased with her service that we hoped she’d be the one to assist us again. She did a fantastic job, and we wanted to make sure she got the recognition she deserved.
