Medical Emergency Absentee Voting
If you have a medical emergency within 14 days of an election, you may qualify to vote by absentee ballot.
Who can apply:
- The registered voter
- The voter’s spouse
The Application:
- Must state that the medical emergency happened within the 14 days before the election
- Must be notarized
- Can be requested and delivered by:
- The voter
- The voter’s spouse, parent, or child
- If none of the above are available, the voter’s brother, sister, niece, nephew, or a designated person
The absentee ballot can only be used by the voter.
Once the County Clerk’s office gets and verifies the application, they will issue the absentee ballot.
