Options for Voters with Disabilities
Accessible and flexible ways to vote in Kentucky
- Vote by Mail (Absentee Ballot)
- Request a ballot online at govote.ky.gov or by calling your County Clerk’s office at 859-255-8683.
- Return your completed ballot to the County Clerk’s office by 6:00 PM on Election Day.

- Vote in Person (In-Person Absentee, Early Voting or on Election Day)
- All polling places have ADA-approved voting machines.
- Assistance is available upon request for those with qualifying reasons.
- You can bring someone to help you vote or ask election officers for help.
- A Voter Assistance Form (SBE 31) must be completed before receiving a ballot if you get help. Forms are available at the voting location.
- Use the Disability Absentee Portal
How to apply:
- Contact your County Clerk’s office (859-253-8683) to request access.
How it works:
- You’ll get an email with access to your ballot.
- Mark your ballot online using a mouse, keyboard, or compatible device — or print it and fill it out by hand.
- You’ll receive return envelopes by mail to send back your printed ballot.
- Your completed printed ballot must be returned by 6:00 PM on Election Day.
