Mail-In Absentee Voting

✅ How to Ask for a Ballot

To get a mail-in ballot, you must send in your application at least 14 days before the election.

📮 If You Want the Ballot Sent to Your Home Address:

You can get a mail-in ballot if you can’t vote in person and:

You’ll be out of Fayette County during all the days and hours of in-person absentee voting.
You are part of the Crime Victim Address Confidentiality Program.
You are sick, have a disability, or are older and can’t go in person to vote (but have not been declared mentally disabled by a court).

📦 If You Want the Ballot Sent Somewhere Else:

You may get a ballot mailed to a different place if you can’t vote in person and:

You are in the military or live overseas.
You are a student living outside Fayette County while in school.
You are in jail, but haven’t been found guilty yet (the ballot goes to the jail).
You moved to another state after voter registration closed and only want to vote for President and Vice President.
You are temporarily living out of state but still a resident and allowed to vote in Fayette County.
You are sick or have a disability and need the ballot sent to a hospital or care center.
