Options for Voters with Disabilities

Accessible and flexible ways to vote in Kentucky

  1. Vote by Mail (Absentee Ballot)
  • Request a ballot online at govote.ky.gov or by calling your County Clerk’s office at 859-255-8683.
  • Return your completed ballot to the County Clerk’s office by 6:00 PM on Election Day.

  1. Vote in Person (In-Person Absentee, Early Voting or on Election Day)
  • All polling places have ADA-approved voting machines.
  • Assistance is available upon request for those with qualifying reasons.
  • You can bring someone to help you vote or ask election officers for help.
  • A Voter Assistance Form (SBE 31) must be completed before receiving a ballot if you get help. Forms are available at the voting location.

How to apply:

  • Contact your County Clerk’s office (859-253-8683) to request access.

How it works:

  • You’ll get an email with access to your ballot.
  • Mark your ballot online using a mouse, keyboard, or compatible device — or print it and fill it out by hand.
  • You’ll receive return envelopes by mail to send back your printed ballot.
  • Your completed printed ballot must be returned by 6:00 PM on Election Day.
