Online Renewal

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Title Number
  2. Plate Number
  3. Debit/Credit Card

RESTRICTIONS:

  • Leased vehicles cannot be renewed online.
  • Expired registrations cannot be renewed online.
  • No overdue property tax on any other vehicles.
  • Insurance must be verified.

Be Sure Your Address Is Correct

  • If your information displayed on the screen is incorrect click “CANCEL” and contact our office.

Your new registration will be mailed to the address on file.  If you no longer live at the address on your previous year’s registration receipt, contact the office and update the address BEFORE you register online.

Renewal of a Kentucky Registration (Mail in or office visit)

What you will need:

  1. Original Certificate of Registration (Photocopies are not acceptable)
  2. Proof of Valid Commonwealth of Kentucky Insurance ID Card 

Restrictions:

  • If the original registration is unavailable, the current registered owner must sign an Affidavit for Replacement and have their signature notarized. There will be an additional $6 fee for the replacement. (If notarized outside our office – $3) (TC96-167)
  • Mail In – Add $2 postage and handling per registration. 
  • Any delinquent property tax owed may prohibit registration renewal.
